A small bit of history
Nanny’s is located in the picturesque town of Duleek, in the heart of Ireland’s Boyne Valley — the birthplace of Ireland’s Ancient East. The area is rich in history and natural beauty, offering everything from ancient tombs and castles to scenic gardens and canal greenways.

Why Nanny’s ?
Nanny’s was named after the River Nanny which flows from Kentstown via Duleek to the Irish Sea at Laytown, Co. Meath. The River Nanny is famous for its trout fishing and its estuary in Laytown is an important haven for wintering birds. During the Williamite Wars, after the Battle of the Boyne, the Jacobite army retreated from the field and headed for the bridge at Duleek, to cross the River Nanny.

"Our pub and restaurant are lovely but its our amazing staff that make us stand out. We know the key ingredient is our people, at Nanny’s of Duleek our staff are more than just employees and colleagues they are our family. Our family look forward to welcoming you soon to Nanny’s.
Warmest Regards,"
